Description

Built on June 28, 1965 and dispatched to New York City shortly after, this Healey was originally finished in British Racing Green with a black interior and hood. It came equipped with a heater, an adjustable steering column, miles-per-hour speedometer, amber flashers and the highly desirable overdrive. Sporting a 3-litre, inline six cylinder engine, it produced a maximum of 150 BHP at 5250 RPM and a top speed of 125 miles per hour. A 14.5 gallon gas tank with an electric fuel pump supplied two S. U. HD8 carburetors fitted with “pancake” air cleaners. Vacuum servo assisted disc brakes on the front assure dependable stopping power combined with drum brakes in the rear. At some point, it received a high quality respray in Healey Blue and a blue interior. The odometer now displays 76,000 miles. Described as an “occasional four seater, two-door sports convertible,” this Mark III delivers a spirited driving experience on the back country road of your choice.

“This is the purest existing statement of what a sports car is. From its classic body contours to the deep-throated growl of its 3-litre engine, the Healey bespeaks a heritage of competition. No winking lights, no frills, just pure gutsy automobile. Look at it. Listen to it. Drive it!”
