IT'S ALIVE! is pleased to represent this stunning 1989 Jaguar XJ-S V12 Convertible in its original finish of Signal Red over a Warm Charcoal leather interior and Black power folding convertible top. This example was sold new in August 1989 by Jaguar of Darien, Connecticut and was only driven a mere 1700 miles before being acquired by its second owner in July 1990. The XJ-S was meticulously maintained and cared for by the same owner for the next 33 years, acquiring a mere additional 10,000 miles in that time. Today the XJ-S displays an incredible amount of originality. The original body panel VIN tags are present throughout while the Pirelli P600 spare tire bares its quality assurance sticker from June 1989! Opening the bonnet reveals an untouched engine compartment with original labels and decals while the original hardware, hard lines and bracketry display Cadmium plating that appears as brilliant as the day it was new. Inside the stunning Charcoal colored leather is still soft to the touch, the burr walnut accent panels present wonderfully and exhibit only minimal wear. In leu of the original cassette stereo the long-term owner opted to have a modern JVC AM/FM CD head unit installed in addition to a custom speaker box with twin subwoofers and dual JBL speakers.
